You will have a chance to ask questions and leave the sessions inspired
with practical tips and resources you can use at your own program.

UPCOMING SESSIONS

Session 4: Using smartphones with learners

Tuesday, Nov 28, 2023 1:30 to 3 pm (rescheduled from Nov 21)

You might have heard about MTML's smartphone learning modules but we want to go a bit deeper to explore how they are applied in the literacy field and what other programs are doing when it comes to using smartphones with their learners. Join us to explore the modules and discuss how smartphones are changing the way we learn, teach and use technology on a daily basis.

PAST SESSIONS

Session 3: Using texting to engage with learners

Since many learners have access to mobile phones and use them on a daily basis, literacy programs started using texting to engage with their clients.
Join us to hear from our guests about the software they use and the benefits/changes they have noticed. We will also chat with the owner of a Canadian company providing texting software (including a custom phone number to display when sending a text) to help answer any questions you might have about texting tools.

Delivered on Tuesday, Oct 24, 2023, 1:30 to 3 pm

Session 2: Using social media to reach, teach and connect with learners and partners

Reaching and staying connected with the learners can be difficult. Join us to explore how some programs are using social media to effectively attract, engage, teach and stay in touch with their learners and partners.

Delivered on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 1:30 to 3 pm

Session 1: Using OneNote to manage learner files and other resources

Did you know that you could use OneNote to organize and manage your learner files? Join us to explore how some programs are using OneNote to keep all their learner forms and files in one place, making it easy to access, replicate and share with others.
