Sara Sherwin
Faculty member
Sarah started teaching at Fleming in 2016. She teaches Math, Communications, and workplace essential skills (including digital).
Some of her interests include practicing yoga, listening to music (especially at concerts!), and reading fiction.
Michael Andrews
Manager, Academic Upgrading & Skills Training
An avid supporter of continuing education and lifelong learning, Michael completed his degree (started at the Ryerson School of Journalism in 1993) at Trent University in 2013. Michael also earned a journalism diploma from Durham College (1993).
He currently volunteers as a literacy tutor and as a director on boards for a number of community agencies.

Christine Hotke
Instructor, Alternative and Continuing Education
Christine is a Literacy and Basic Skills Instructor for the Lambton Kent District School Board Adult Education program in Sarnia, Ontario. Christine works with students to help prepare them to obtain their high school diploma or upgrade their skills for the trades or workforce. She assists learners in subjects such as geography, science, history, English, and math. Currently, her main focus is math and science. Christine is trained as a high school science teacher and enjoys teaching math too.

Manal Atta
Digital Program Coordinator & Group Facilitator
Manal is a Digital Literacy Program Coordinator and Group Facilitator at The Learning Place community learning center in Brampton. She has joined the adult literacy environment in 2013. Manal is susceptible to adult literacy needs and passionate about improving literacy skills through incorporating technology for teaching. She works with her team to identify the Digital literacy gaps in the community and supports them with the best pedagogy practices and digital tools. Manal is passionate about Microsoft and Google for education programs and obtained the educator’s certificate with Google and Microsoft.
